Honduras concludes electoral scrutiny, but still does not proclaim winner

The Supreme Electoral Tribunal of Honduras concluded this Monday morning the vote count of the presidential election on November 26, with an advantage for President Juan Orlando Hernandez, although without officially proclaiming the winner.

“Now we finish this counting phase,” said the president of the court, David Matamoros, who said that Hernandez had 42.98% of the votes and the opposition Salvador Nasralla, 41.39%, at the end of the vote.
