Former diplomat Boris Boillon convicted of “laundering tax evasion”

The former diplomat and “Sarko Boy” Boris Boillon was condemned Friday by the Paris Criminal Court, including the ban on exercising a public office for five years, for “laundering tax fraud”.

The former adviser to President Nicolas Sarkozy was arrested by customs officers at the Gare du Nord in Paris on 31 July 2013 in possession of 350,000 euros and 40,000 dollars in cash, undeclared, while he was preparing to mount a Train for Belgium.
